The Worker, Homeownership, and Business Assistance Act of 2009 (i.e. $8000 First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit) has extended the tax credit of up to $8,000 for qualified first-time home buyers purchasing a principal residence. It also authorized a tax credit of up to $6,500 for qualified repeat home buyers.

We have been interested in buying a vacation home in the Charleston area for some time. While browsing the Internet one day, I came across Matt's website and signed up for his mailing list. Not long after that, Matt called and we talked about what our family was looking for and what we could afford. Matt stayed in touch regularly over the next few months, sending us listings that we might potentially be interested in, answering our questions, and providing additional information. He even previewed a few properties for us and provided feedback, which was especially helpful considering that we live in Virginia and could not easily drive down to Charleston to tour properties. We eventually narrowed down our options and decided that we wanted to purchase a share of a beach house. While vacationing in Folly Beach, we met with Matt and looked at a few fractional ownership properties on Isle of Palms. We found the perfect beach house for our family and we made an offer. Our offer was accepted and we began the settlement process. Over the next month, there were a few minor hiccups here and there, but Matt negotiated all the terms to our benefit and saved us several hundred dollars in taxes.
